UNLOCK runs an escape room on "populism and European citizenship" at the University of Aveiro11/11/2022 The 1st edition of the "Bootcamp Grow EU" took place at the University of Aveiro, between 9th and 10th November 2022. This initiative was aimed at young people in Higher Education. Students from different areas, including Marketing, Economics and Engineering, had the opportunity to reflect together on European priorities and policies and discuss the future of the European project.
Among the different activities organised during the Bootcamp, the Unlock project organised an escape room on "populism and European citizenship". A total of 15 students, divided into 4 groups, were challenged to complete an escape mission to find out who was the populist leader, infiltrated in the ministry and who was threatening democracy in "Liechtenstein" fictitious country created on Twitter. The fastest team solved the mission in 30 minutes and won the challenge. After the activity, students reported that they were able to put soft skills in place, such as teamwork, leadership, creativity, critical thinking and time management.
